PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (NOVEL)


 First distributed in 1813, Pride and Prejudice was Jane Austen second novel after Sense and Sensibility in 1811. Composed somewhere in the range of 1796 and 1797 when Jane was not one and twenty, the version we see today was not her first idea. Pride and Prejudice follows the violent connection between Elizabeth Bennet, the girl of a nation man of his word, and Fitzwilliam Darcy, a rich refined landowner. They should conquer the nominal sins of pride and bias to fall head over heels in love and wed.
